I had a very enjoyable morning working with Lalanga again - doing two more lesson observations - one history lesson and one English literature lesson. I enjoyed the English literature lesson very much, as it was always my favourite subject at school - right through to doing English 'A' Level. I might even have studied English at university, but I was quite a slow reader, so I didn't think I would be able to get through the volume of reading needed quickly enough.
I had an early lunch, followed by a meeting with two of the Administration team, which was very revealing. I then had a bit of a disaster of an afternoon, as the two lesson observations I was supposed to do then didn't happen, which I found rather frustrating. I had a little chat with someone about it, but I wasn't able to catch Ravi, as he is simply snowed under, and has to prepare for a rather difficult meeting tomorrow, so it was best not to bother him.
I came back to the apartment - I was here by 15:00, and I took an afternoon nap, which I have found very helpful in this heat. The bedroom that I sleep in here now has air conditioning (the other one already had it) and it has made a huge difference to how well I sleep, so I am very grateful for that. I certainly wasn't short of time today in terms of completing my diary and my blog, although I think it is a bit less interesting now, and the number of viewers is dropping off.
Since going to visit Anthony on Sunday afternoon, I have seen no one after school is over, apart from Razeena when I go for dinner, and that has got me down a bit, but tomorrow will be different, as Dinura's family have invited me for dinner, and I then have the weekend in Galle to look forward to. I have started to really look forward to going home again now, as it is so much lonelier here in Kurunegala than it was in the Hill Country, and I really miss having company.
Today's photographs show my lesson observations with Lalanga today.

Lack of comments is no reflection on the quality of the blog, Keith! As for the loneliness, it isn't surprising after the intensely sociable time you enjoyed in the run-up to your departure from the hill country - also, if you aren't quite so engaged in the international school as you are in the Tea Leaf enterprise, it is inevitable you will know fewer people. At any rate your friends in Bath are looking forward to hearing all about this trip from the man himself on hie return at the start of March!
