It was busy, busy this morning at Daya's, with everyone getting ready for the wedding - Rasi was even cleaning out the fish tank - so I left early to give them some space and went into Norwood for a few hours. I started off at Chef King, which is where I was supposed to move to this evening, but Rasi keeps asking me to stay longer at their house, so I have agreed to stay two more nights, then move to Chef King for my final few nights in Norwood on Tuesday.

I don't know the name of the lady who rents out the rooms upstairs, but Pushpa runs a little restaurant downstairs, so I had a very simple breakfast there of paratha, dahl, and onions, washed down with a reasonable cup of coffee. I then went to Shan Book Shop, where I spent about an hour purchasing things to make a wedding banner for Daya and Vino, which Daya has commissioned me to do, and which will take me a few hours over the next few days.

In the middle of my purchases, the shop owner at Shan Book Shop gave me his phone and said: 'It's Mr. Chan on the phone for you!' When I asked Chan how on earth he knew I was in Shan Book Shop he said the owner had just called him to tell him that: 'Mr. Keith is in my shop', so I was highly amused by that. I think Chan was probably less amused, as he was actually heading off for a wedding - in Hatton, I think - so it was an unnecessary interruption for him!

Having finished my shopping, I walked the short distance to Stefhan's house (the guy who works for Tea Leaf's Media Team). I was only supposed to be popping in for a cup of tea, but they presented me with a huge array of snacks, which I tried hard not to eat too many of! Stefhan is married to Nilushi, who also used to work for Tea Leaf, and they have a lovely young son called Sheriq, who is going to have his 4th birthday tomorrow, and who was very entertaining.

There are just three photos today at Chef King and three at Stefhan and Nilushi's home.

  1. The owner of the bookshop obviously thinks you are some celebrity!
