Unfortunately, Valerie has been struggling with her health, as she has a nasty cough, which has resulted in her not sleeping very well, and her eczema has also flared up, so she thought it would be better to get herself checked over, and try to get some treatment. Our friend Radha, who we went for lunch with recently, is a qualified ayurvedic doctor, so she came to school this morning to check Valerie out, and provided a number of treatments for her.

Hoping that the treatments will quickly take effect (Radha seemed hopeful that she should feel a lot better tomorrow), we then both pressed on with our Maths lesson observations in Grade 2. Fortunately, Valerie's finished well before mine, so she was able to take it easier at school, and I took the lead when we gave the feedback after lunch. On returning to our apartment, she then relaxed for the rest of the day, and we will see how she gets on overnight.

Whilst Valerie had a bit of a sleep, I went out to do a little bit of shopping for some upcoming events over the next few days. There is a lovely book store next door to the school, although it is really a stationers more than a book store, and it proved very useful for getting the items that I needed today. I hadn't been back long, when Ravi came round to check up on Valerie, which was extremely kind of him, and a great example of the love and care that we have been receiving here.

We had our usual dinner at 20:00 at Razeena's, which is a regular highlight of our day now, as we haven't eaten the same meal twice, and we have also loved virtually everything that has been laid out for us on the table. It is a Poya Day tomorrow, with no school, and we are not going away until after lunch, so we have asked for a late breakfast at 09:00, so that Valerie particularly can enjoy a bit of a lie-in, which I am hoping will do her the power of good.

Today's photos show Radha after she had treated Valerie at school, a few from one of my Maths lesson observations, one of lovely Nimali, the secretary who seems to attend to our every need at school, and an evening view of our balcony area, which our favourite place to chill out in at home.
