I have been experiencing very bad jet lag! I was sorting out my luggage, and didn't go to sleep until 02:00, but I still woke up ready to go at 06:00. With only 4 hours sleep, it was no surprise that I ended up feeling exhausted today, but it was lovely to wake up to the magnificent views from Jana and Yad's place in Blackpool, which I never tire of. I felt great when I woke up, but it certainly began to take its toll on me before the day was out.

Unfortunately, all my clothes that I left behind at Yad's smelt very mouldy, so I had to wash some of them and air others, very kindly supported by Meena - Yad's mother. Although we traditionally hang our clothes out on a washing line, you will see from today's photos that you can just throw them on the ground to try, and you will often see clean washing lying on hedges, or even just on the ground, as happened to some of my clothes today!

I had a meeting with Yad at 10:30 to discuss my involvement in their upcoming teacher training for new teachers, with Chan, the new Staff Development Officer, joining us online. Chan will train the new teachers for the Maskeliya and Bogawantalawa Tea Leaf Centres, and I will be focusing on the Nuwara Eliya and Udapusselawa Tea Leaf Centres, although we will be planning this together next Monday at Nuwara Eliya Tea Leaf Centre.

I popped into Nuwara Eliya for a light lunch at The Grand Hotel, and then proceeded to fall asleep whilst eating it, I was so tired! I was shocked how much the prices have gone up at The Grand Hotel, so I won't be frequenting so often now! I just about managed to complete my shopping for a few necessary items, before taking a tuk-tuk back to Blackpool. I went upstairs with Miggy to have dinner with Jana and Yad, and was in bed just after 10.

Today's photos show the views from Jana and Yad's place, the washing drying on and off the line, and Yad working at her desk downstairs.
