I slept in a little this morning, but I was still up quite early, as it was a perfect wash day, and I didn't want to make the same mistake I made last time I did me washing. I almost find using the twin-tub quite therapeutic in a way, as the novelty of using it has not yet worn off. It was a beautiful day outside, so I got everything hung out to dry as quickly as I could, then sorted out a few things in my room.

I went into town to SS Colour Lab to sort out a few photos, as it is remarkably cheap to print things off and frame them out here. I had arranged to meet Daya at the cinema to watch a film called 'Dada', and Shamira joined us. I was supposed to be there by 16:00, and I ended up getting there slightly late, as it took me so long to sort out the photos. Shamira was waiting for me, but there was no sign of Daya!

I got our tickets and Shamira, and I went in to watch the film, with Daya appearing not long after the film had started. It was a very different experience from the last two times I went to watch a film, as the cinema was virtually empty! However, it was a very interesting film, which all three of us enjoyed. As with all Tamil films that I have watched so far, it had clear moral messages about how you ought to live your life.

We went to The Grand Hotel after to have pizza and beer with Naresh, Shamira and their two sons, Orien, and Indio. They currently live in London, but they are thinking about moving out towards Bath, which would be fun! The Grand Hotel was all 'loved up', as it is Valentine's Day weekend. Valentine's Day is actually next Tuesday, and my lovely younger granddaughter Esther will be 4 years old that day!

Today's photos show the cinema, the meal at The Grand Hotel, and me and Daya posing by the big LOVE sign after the meal! The Grand Hotel certainly makes a lovely backdrop for those photos!
