The new pillows were lovely, but I still slept very badly, as I found it difficult to breathe and I was constantly coughing. I had a meeting with Donald and Ladushan at 12:00 and Yad didn't need my help until this afternoon, so I went into Nuwara Eliya early and went to the chemist for some cough mixture, some paracetamol, and some other medicine for my chest. It wasn't going to offer a miraculous cure, so I still had quite a rough day.

I had a good meeting with Donald and Ladushan at GROW, who want me to help with some promotional work for their new courses. I was going to take some photographs there for this blog, but I felt so rough that I completely forgot. I shall take some when I go in next week. I only stayed for an hour then got a tuk-tuk back to Blackpool, as I knew Yad wanted me to do some more work on the KNH Annual Report.

I spent the afternoon getting on with the work for Yad and managed to complete it fairly quickly. For much of the time I was home alone with just Ranger for company. It is surprising what a difference it makes having a dog around. I was surprised how well Ranger remembered me, as it is 6 months since I was last here, but he knew who I was straight away, and he often pops into my room to keep me company.

I heard from Gobi earlier on today, as he was in Colombo last night being presented with an award by the Rotary Club of Colombo West for his outstanding contribution to the Rotary International Project. He was a joy to work with and I felt very proud of him getting this award, as it was extremely well deserved. I will see him tomorrow, as I am travelling to Bogawantalawa for the opening of the new Tea Leaf Centre there.

Today's photos were taken here in Blackpool this afternoon and last night at Gobi's award ceremony in Colombo.
