Today saw a momentous occasion for me, as I had my last road trip with Gobi - and it was a very special one, as we returned to Mousakelle No. 2 Primary School - over the dancing bridge! - to distribute 50,000LKR worth of books and other resources that were from an extremely kind donor who has asked to remain anonymous. I cannot tell you how grateful I am to that person!

This generous donation bought enough resources for all 55 children at the school to be given a personal pack of books and other materials. These all arrived in a huge box (it was extremely heavy!) that Gobi and his wife Kavi spent hours dividing up into packs for the children. Grades 1 and 2 got a smaller pack than Grades 3 and 4, with Grade 5 children getting a much more substantial pack.

It was wonderful to be able to go back to the school and hand out all these resources personally to the children, and you will see from today's photographs what a lovely time we had. We started off with the Grade 1 students, and I love the photograph of me having to bend right down to shake hands with the tiniest child in the school - I thought they were all quite adorable, and I want to go back again!

I enclose a great photo of Gobi from the back of the tuk-tuk on a previous outing, as that is the view I have had of him for hours on end as we have travelled round. I have enjoyed this Rotary International Project immensely, and a huge part of that has been because Gobi has been such a fabulous person to work with. He truly is the most wonderful ambassador for Tea Leaf Vision wherever he goes!
