Monday 2nd May 2022

I was due to go to Hatton for lunch today, but the plan changed, so I had a very restful day here instead. I was ironing my clothes, after yesterday's washing, when I noticed a monkey climbing along the telegraph wires. He was quick, and by the time I got to take a photograph, I only caught the back of him! I also got a nice photo of one of many crows that are constantly making a noise around here!

I had not long interrupted my ironing to take a photo of the monkey, when there was a power cut, which lasted for about 2 hours. I had some fruit for lunch  - the picture here shows a naran, which you peel like an orange, but is less sweet - still very tasty and refreshing though, especially when combined with the stubby little bananas that you can see in the picture, which are delicious with a cup of tea I find!

It was 30C today, but with the humidity felt more like 35C, so I went for a short walk behind the garage with Chamod, who took me down to the river. As soon as we set off, Laura and Lily ran after us! There were some beautiful flowers on the way, and when we got there, we found a Tamil family bathing in the river. It was a lovely way to spend an hour trying to escape from the heat of the day by the water.

Charles and I are delighted to announce that our Summer 2022 Collection is now out (website below) - with the following strapline: 'Get into the sunshine state of mind with punchy colours and barely-there designs'. When I challenged Charles on his choice of words, he told me that he had been looking at my current clothes and sense of fashion, and that 'barely-there' was, in fact, rather generous in his opinion!

  1. Keith, we seem to have excelled ourselves in terms of style and fashion. Long may that continue, is no doubt what Val and Julie are thinking!
Glad you are putting your artistic talent into the photos posted with the blog...
