Friday 1st November 2019
Today was a very pleasant day. I walked to school with Rachelle for the
last time, as she leaves early on Sunday morning. We had the usual 08.30 Staff
Meeting, then I worked in the office, writing a Job Description for the native English-speaking
teacher who will deliver the Training Programme in 2020 to the 20 primary
school teachers and 40 secondary school teachers.
At break time, Rachelle brought cakes in for everyone, because it was
her last day at the school. We took some final photographs for her and the staff
presented her with some lovely pics of everyone in a stand-up photo frame.
After school, I went to The Grand Hotel for a while, did a bit of
shopping and went home, where I spent a very relaxing evening ironing, making
myself some food and writing my Daily Diary and my Blog.
Today's photographs show Tharika, the Principal at Nuwara Eliya School, then Rachelle with all the guys and, finally, a whole staff team photograph.
