I did have my meeting with the Management Team at 10:30 today and it was very useful, as it clarified what
they want me to do over the next couple of weeks. I will finish my Lesson
Observations Report today and hand it in to them tomorrow. I will then start
work on planning the two-week Teacher Training Programme for Trainee Teachers who
are starting at the Tea Leaf Vision Schools in Maskeliya, Nuwara Eliya or
Palmerston.
Rachelle was with me at the
meeting, but she went home quite quickly, as she has come down with a fever
today and is feeling quite unwell. She stayed at home all day to rest and I
went to The Grand Hotel again to work, which was a shame, as it was sunny all
day for the first time today! However, I was able to work sitting out on the veranda the whole day, so I couldn't complain really!
The first of today's photographs is of the 1914-1919 war memorial just outside Victoria Park. I am not sure why it said 1919 rather than 1918, but it is a poignant reminder that many countries in the British Empire sent soldiers to fight in World War 1. The other photos show a massive party of public school children who appeared in front of the veranda whilst I was working there!
