I had such a restful day today. I slept extremely well last night after the efforts of the Team Building Training Days on Thursday and Friday, and I got up late this morning. It was overcast, but at least it was dry, so I caught a tuk-tuk out to Gregory Lake and I had a lovely time there. I walked round the lake, having a long video WhatsApp chat with Val on the way, and I managed to get all the way round the lake before the heavens opened. I took shelter at a table with a big umbrella, also using my own umbrella to protect me from the downpour, and a lovely lady named Bindu served me cups of tea with some wadi, a delicious savoury snack. I enjoyed the wadi so much that I got her to make me some more to take home to share with Rachelle in the evening.

Once it starts to rain here there rarely seems to be much let up, so I took a tuk-tuk back into Nuwara Eliya and sat in the lobby of The Grand Hotel with an extremely nice hot chocolate and finished reading my Mitch Albom book, ‘The Next Person You Meet In Heaven’, which I enjoyed just as much as all of the other books I have read by him. I then took a tuk-tuk back and spent a lovely, quiet evening relaxing at home.

Today's photographs are all from Gregory Lake, including a lovely picture of Bindu and the wadi she made me!
